BASEBALL.
The local team met their Water
loo; at Grand Bend on Thursday
afternoon last in; a hotly contested
aanae with the Campers. In the
first three innings our boys .looked
to have things easy, brit in the 4th
the campers score! 8 runs, the re-
sult of a number . of costly errors
by our boys. The balance of the
game was very even and at the end
the score stood 13-10 in favor of
the Campers, which means that the
coveted trophy will remain at the
Summer Resort for another year.

On Tuesday evening a team of
Indians, of Muncey, who are at
present working at Hensall, came
out for a friendly game of ball, and
it proved to be one of the- best
games played this season. The
visitors were a fine, gentlemanly
lot of fellows and put up a great
game, and at the end of the 5th
innings it looked like anybody's
game. In the 6th and 7th however
our boys began to bat the visiting
pitcher's outshoots and scored 8
runs. Hurley and Harvey Weber
pitched a. fine game for the locals
and II. H. Little played a star
tome behind the bat.
