first part of the name may be quite
appropriate but the latter part—
well we would rather see them up
and hustle for the championship
of Huron.
Word was received hero on Mon-
day announcing tlae death of Mr.
Henry Eicher, near Elkton, Mioh.
The deceased was, up to a few
years ago, a resident of this Town-
ship, and has a host of personal
friends in this vicinity who sin-
cerely regret his death.
The following officers were re-
cently elected in the Ladies Aid of
the Evangelical Church. Pres.
Mrs. (Rev.) A. D. Gischler ; Viae,
Pres., Mrs, John Preeter ; Seer.,
Mrs. Chas. Welker ; Cor. Seer.,
Mrs. Peter Bender ; Organist, Mrs
William Calfas. This Society was
organized by the pastor a year
ago last April and is at present in
a prosperous condition. The Ladies
are planning to do considerable re-
pairing at the Parsonage. and
church during the coining summer.
At the mooting of „last Thursday it
was decided to give the parsonage
a coat of paint which will be great-
ler appreciated by the members
