In Quebec there are seven hund•

liquor licenses are issued. .During
the last 12 months licenses have

O liquor -sellers, if the tears
Of wives and children could you
drown,
Not one of you would live to see
To morrow in Toronto town,
Tben take the money wrung from
them
And pack it in your sordid purse,
For every quarter is a groan,
And every dollar is a curse,
Oh, think of all the ruined homes
Of fairest prospects blasted all,
That represented are to night
By watchers shivering by the
wall.
Oh, men, oh, women, of our land,
Arise and on this monster fall,
For when the evil beast is dead
There'll be no watchers by the
wall.
