Tommy Burns the Canadian boxer, made short work of the Irish lad, Jem Roche, at Dublin on St Patrick's Day. A very pretty wedding was celeb- rated on Wednesday March the lith at the home of Mr, and Mrs, Joel Baechler Babylon Line, when their second daughter Sarah, was united in the Holy bond's of Matrimony to Mr. Henry Smith of Saskatche- wan. At 1 o.clock the bridal party entered tate parlor and took their places under a beautiful arch of evergreens, decorated with while roses under which a white floral bell was hung. The Ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. C. J. Maass. The bride looked charm- ing in a pearl grey skirt of broad- cloth, with silk waist to match and wore white roses in her hair. The bride was assisted by her sister Lydia Ann, while Mr. Chris Erb supported the groom. After congratulations all sat down to a sutmptuous wedding dinner. The presents were both numerous and costly and show the high esteem in which the young couple are held, They will leave for Saskatchewan March 14th. Their many friends join in wishing this young couple overy success in their new home. Mr. David Bock of Windsor, is visiting his family here, this week. A large crowd attended the sale of Mr. Ernst Gies, on Wednesday afternoon and good prices were realized. Mr. Jacob Gingerich of the Goshen Line south is down with stomach trouble of a rather severe nature. Dr Ovens, eye specialist will visit Hensall, Royal Hotel, on Thursday April 2nd. Mr. E. R. Youngs agent of the Molsons Bank for 'the past month or two has been trans- ferred to London, Mr. Youngs made many friends while in town who regret his removal. The dome of the boiler in Cook's grist mill at Hensel' blew off on Tuesday noon, causing consider- able'excitement in the "Dry Town" for a few minutes, and damaged the engine house to quite an ex- tent. The loss will be quite heavy both to the boiler and to the building. None of. the workmen were injured and the mill -did. not suffer ranch damage.. This meet ing was opened with devotional exercises, followed by an educa- tional half hour, on the Canadian White Ribbon Tidings, the official organ Ontario W. C. T. U.
