The death of Mrs. Catherine Hill of this Village came as a surprise to our citizens on Sunday. The deneased lady was living alone here since her family has grown up and her illness came on her very suddenly only a few days ago. The remains ware laid to rest on Wed- nesday afternoon, in the Lutheran ' cemetery. She leaves two sons, August of Crediton, Henry in the United States, and two daughters, Catheriize of Detroit, and Mrs. Brown of Michigan tomourn her loss, Her husband predeceased her many years ago. Hess in introduc- ing Cocksbutt's celebrated two - furrow plow. Quite a number have been sold. Mr. Moses Geiger brought to our office on Saturday, 3 apples of the Mann variety grown in 1906. The apples were in the bottom of a barrel in his cellar and had been overlooked. They are perfectly sound and quite firm. It is reported that the deal whereby the Dashwood FIas.Co, had disposed of their flax crop, fell through and that the company have started in threshing the flax and spreading it. This ought to be good news for the laboring men of our sister Village.
