We have recently unpacked a large assortment of Crockery and Chinaware. J. J. Merner, Zurich. David Schnell recently disposed of a lamb, three and a half months old, to Mr. P. Lamont,. which scaled. 132 pounds. The frost on Monday night of last week did considerable damage on the low lands, and as a result some of the gardens and a number of fields of peas and corn were nearly ruined. Mr. J. J. While digging a well at Fred Kalbfl.eiseh's new mill -site, last week, Mr. Neck Foster was severe- ly injured by a board falling down on him. His scalp was badly cut requiring ten stitches to close the wound. His arm was also hurt and it will be several weeks before he will be able to resume work. A pretty wedding was celebrated at Blake on Wednesday, July loth, when bliss Pearl, L,, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Win. Nicholson was united in marriage to Mr. G. Sckmidt, a popular business inan of Sebringville. Only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties were present at the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. -August Moritz, of Dresden, N. D., arrived in town on Wednesday evening for a visit with friends. Mr. Moritz left here 19 years ago, and this is his first visit to Zurich since: They visited Mrs. Moritz' parents at Toronto and will also see the Jamestown Exhibition before their return to Dakota. On Monday Ernst Gies brought to our office a few stalks of fall wheat which measured over 5e feet long. This is a remarkable growth considering the backwardness of the season and is, wo should say, hard to beat. We also received some flax last week from the farm of Louis 1Sehilbe, which measured nearly ee feet in length. Mrs. Witmer sustained a broken collar- bone and one of the children had the head severely bruised. The accident was not due however to any carelessness 01 the autoists, as they were driving at a reduced speed.,and after the sad accident the�yy''` assisted liar.
