W. C. T. U.
The W. 0. T, U. held a very in-
teresting meeting. at the home of
Mrs. Rennie on Wednesday after-
noon, April 3rd, It was opened
with devotional exercises led by
Mrs, (Rev.) Whitesides and after
the leaders few remarks a duet was
rendered. Miss Ethel Williams then
took charge of the educational part
giving a very interesting talk on
Temperance work. She related
several very touching incidents,
which she had witnessed during
her visit east, all caused through
the use of strong drink. She then
gave different reasons why women
belong to the W. 0. T. U., repeat-
ing the beautiful W. 0. T. U. mot-
to "For God and Home and Native
Land." The president then con-
ducted the business, and called on
Rev, Mr. Gisohier to make a few
remarks, and the meeting was dis-
missed with a closing prayer.
