Miss Hester Armstrong has re-
signed her school, No. 3, her resig-
nation to take effect at Easter.
Miss Eva Stephenson of the Parr
(Gine is visiting relatives in London
for a month.
In a few weeks our township will
be on the dry list. However Lake
Huron is on the western boundary
with plenty of water.
Mrs. Clathworthy and children
of Ailsa Craig visited at the home
of Wm. Potter, 4th con,, last week.
Mr. Clark, who has been i11 with
pneumonia, is recovering.
R. Penhale, of this township has
opened up a butcher shop in Bay-
field.

The exodus to the west has start-
ed. The mining • year promises to
be a record breaker in the number
of settlers going to the western
provinces. Already a number have
left this section and many more are
snaking preparations to follow. The

The January thaw did not arrive
this year until March. The warm
weather since Sunday has caused
much of the snow to disappear.
The J. D. King Co., of Toronto
