On Sunday evening the death
took place of Mr8. Catherine
'Kochens, at the advanced age of
ve years and 8 months, The de -
teased suffered no pain and pas-
sed peacefully away, the infirmities
of old age being the cause Of her
death. Her husband, John P.
ICochens, predeceased her about
twenty years ago. Althotigh well
tip in the nineties, she was able to
be tip and around until some time
hefore her death. Three sons,i
Valentine and ]frank, of this village
and John of North Dakota, survive'
her. The funeral was held on Wed
