LORD'S DAY ACT.
The Lord's Day .Act of Canada,
comes into force on March
1st, 1907, is probably the best Lords
Day Act on the statute books of
any country. And it can and will
be improved in future ,years,
Things prohibited are :—
1. All work, labor or business
of one's ordinary calling or otht?r
work for hire or renumeration.
2. Sunday sports and amuse-
ments for gain,. prize or reward.
3. .Sunday excursions for gain
or pleasure by railway, steamer or
other mode of conveyance.
4. Shooting at a target, or for
.gain within hearing of others.
5. Sunday newspapers, home -
produced or foreign—their publica-
tion. importation, stile or distribu-
tion.
