Tae uric . Fair.
The annual Fair held here on
Wednesday and Thursday lust was
a splendid success in every psrticu- 1
lar. The weather on Wednesday
was not very favorable, but -despite
this the in door exhibits were quite,E
equal to former years, and u.ttra[t
ed a. great deal of -attention. By
Thursday morning the sky ltad i
oleaced, and by noon the bright sun
had dried up the moisture and
large crowds flocked into town from
all directions. The gate receipts
were over 5260.00, which was:
slightly lower than last year, but;
well above the -average. The
entries for horses were large there
being over 130 in the various class-
es. The Clinton band were very
generous with their selections, and
their music was Highly ap,,reciated.
The directors are to be congratulat-
ed and every effort shobld be put
forth to Haiku next year's Zurich
