. St. Peter's church Drysdale, was
the scene of a pretty wedding when
on Tuesday the 20th inst., Miss
Emelia the daughter of John
Laporte was married , to Irving
G embelton, of Detroit. - The bride
dressed in a neat suit of white silk
was lead to the altar by the her
father, while the groom was no
eompanied by Mr. Joseph Laporte,
Rev. D. L. Brisson, an uncle of
thebride officiated at the marriage
and Bev. Frs. Stroeder and La.ndre•
ville assisted him at the solemn
High Mass, which was sung for
the newly weds. Miss Fiore La.
porte acted as bridesmaid for her
sister, and the best man was Mr.
Louis Eeneteau, of River Canard.
The choir rendered in excellent
style. "The Mass of the 2nd love.
Miss Blanche Laporte accompany.

orchestra played good effect

mony. A sumptuous repast was
awaiting the married couple and
their relatives numerous friends at
the ever hospitable home of Mr.
John Laporte. .Early in the after-
noon Mr. and Mrs. Gutnbelton
were driven to Parkhill in Mr.
Schaffer's automobile, they were
to board the train leaving for an
extended trip to Alontreal, Quebec
and Sbe Anne de Beanpre. After
their return they will live in
Detroit where they will be at hone
to their many friends.
