sidents ever since. Mr Oke ie in his
81st year and during the past few
years has suffered a great deal
with asthma. He is coiifl,ned to the
house most of the time, Airs. Oke
is in her 73rd year and is exceeding-
ly active for her age. Members of
the family were present from To-
ronto, Seaforth, Eliinville and
town. The Times joinswith their
many friends in wishing them con-
tinued years of health and happi-

The members of the Young
Men's Bible class spent a very
pleasant social evening at the
home of Mr. Gellman, on Thursday
evening Ient. The event was the
closing. exercise of the contest for
seouring new members, which the
class divided into two sides. capt•
ained by Mr. W. O'Brien and Mr.
A. Gellman, has carried on for
some time. Mr. O'Brien succeeded

Mr. Gallman got 17, giving Mr.
O'Brien the victory by a majority
of 5. While Mr. Gellman did not
win the contest he may certainly
reel proud of the excellent oyster
supper to which he and his side
treated the class, last Thursday.
After justice had been done by all
to the supper served, a program
consisting of toasts interspersed
with selections from. Mr. Williams'
phonograph was rendered. During
this part of the exercises Dr,
Campbell officiated most efficiently
as Toast Master. The following

Sunday last.
Mr. Arthur Keller snttu is at

Next Sunday evening he will

The Xmas entertainment in con-
nection with the Evangelical Sun-
day School will be held on Tuesday
evening Deo 27th. It will, with-
out doubt be good, as a good
program is being prepared and the
people of this place need no in-
troduction to the public in gist
respect, as they have a wide
reputation in presenting a program
to an audience, suffice it for me to
say that to all who attend they
will enjoy a literary treat.
