The Auction Sale of Mr. John
Ehlers' .Farm Stock and imple-
ments on, Thursday last was well
attended although the weather
was anything but pleasant to be
out. Good prices were realized
throughout.
Mr. Wellington Fee of Zurich,
was in the village en Monday, and
purchased several cows.
Several from here attended the
funeral of the late Mr. Bawden of
Exeter, on Saturday.
Mr Edmund Zeller has been in
the village during the past week
installing the instruments for the
rural telephone lino.
Excavation work has been com-
menced on the site for the Farmers
Bank. It is being built on the
corner on which formerly stood
what was known in this commun
ity as Hall's store, which was
destroyed by fire a few years ago.
The Bank is to be of red brick and
when completed will no doubt be a
Credit to the village.

The lecture which was to have
been given by Rev. G. W. Ray, a
South American Missionary has
been postponed to a future date,
the lecturer having had previous
arrangements to lecture in other
places the night he was to have
been here. However we expect to
be able to engage his service at
some date in the near future, when
it will be duly published in the
papers.
