A DIRECTORY OF PURE BRED STOCK. The Branch of Live Stock Com- missioner at Ottawa has issued a revised edition of the Directory of breeders of pure bred live stock in Canada. According to the preface page the work is a compilation of of infotmation received through correspondence from breeders in all the provinces in regard to the size of their breeding herds, and the number of males and females of the several breeds they have for sale. The Directory is prepared to assist persons in locating herds, studs and Docks in their respective neighbourhoods, or in distant pro- vinces from which pure bred animals nay be procured. It is stated in the Directory that copies will he sent to ranchmen, stock breeders, secretaries of farmers' institutes, agricultural societies, and others who may apply for them.
