steadily raised the price per case of
oatmeal and wheatmeal. There
are twenty ordinary 25 -cent pack-
ages of food in a -wholesale case,
and at the present ti'ine the cases
are from 25c to 500 higher than
they were three months ago. The
retail dealer forms the last link but
one in the chain extending from
the farmers' granary to the -'break-
fast table, and it is here that most
of the weight of the increased bur-

The County . Committee of the
Young Men's Ohristain. Association
of Huron are going to conduct a 10
days surimer'oamp for the boys of
the County on the Lake shore, at
Iron Springs, seven miles south of
Goderioh, beginning July 18th,.
Provision is being made for the
accommodation bf 50 boys, and the
committee desires to get a small
contingent from each town and
village in the County to go. Tents,
food, boats and everything -will be
supplied by the committee and the
boys will lust have to bring their
clothes and : whatever personal be.
longing they will need, and each
boy will pay the committee so
much for the 10 clays, to defray the
expenses. Any boy from 12 to 18
who seeure's the.written consent of
parents or guardians may go. The
place is an ideal one for camping.
There is a good. Spring of water,
good bathing and boating, and
excellent grouted& for games and
athletics. n'he camp. will be under

Seaforth Races. The annual
race meet of the Seaforth Turf
Club will be held on their excellent
track in. Seaforth on June 15, 16
and 17. The association has ar-
ranged an excellent programme for
each day, for which liberal purses
are being offered.. There will be
two harness races and one running
race each. day. As an additional
attraction, they have arranged for
the attendance during the entire
meet of that most famous of all
harness horses, The Eel. 2.02x.
The lel will be on exhibition each
day of the meet, and, on the 16th
will endeavor to create a new Cana
dian half mile track recgrd. This
will be the only opportunity that
many in this district will have of
seeineethis greet horse, aiicl none
should miss th'e opportunity. We
might also say that the indications
are that a large string of horses
will attend the Seaforth races.
