Quiet But Pretty Wedding In City
This Afternoon
A quiet but very pretty wedding
took place this afternoon at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bald.
win, 34 Gladstone avenue, when
Miss Beatrice M. Steinbach, sister
of Mrs. Baldwin, was married to
Chester L. Fitzgerald, of the postal
department, London.
Only the immediate friends of
the contracting parties were pre-
sent
To the strains of Mendelssohn's
wedding march. played by Mrs.
Baldwin, the bride entered the
drawing room on the arm of her
brother-in-law, Mr. Baldwin Brid-
esmaid and :groomsman were dis-
pensed. with.
Rev. A. Brown, of the First
Methodist church, performed the
ceremony, at the conclusion of
which Mrs; Robinson sang "0

the popularity of the young couple
was toasted' by several witty speak-
ers. •
The bride was gowned in Pean-
de-soie silk with Persian and ehen•
ille trimmings and carried a beauti-
ful bouquet of bridal roses. Her
travelling suit was of dark broad-
cloth with hat to match.
Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald left on
No. 37 for Detroit and other west-
ern points, where they will spend a
short honeymoon, after which they
will take np their residence in Lon-
