He had too often bought the vile stuff not to be acquainted with the names it assumed. The wine my mother proffered you was of an entirely different nature. I drink it without fear or harm." Snowden of the Bauble Line. to give him an oyster supper in honor of his re-election for President of the Society, which office he has ably filled for the past ten years, The first part of the evening was spent in playing games, singing, ete,, -while the ladies were prepar- ing the feast and spreading the table. After everyone had done justice to the oysters, the floor was trade ready for a dance, which was quite freely enjoyed by both old and young. The music for the dance was furnished by Messrs. Dorrah of Bayfield. T. CaTneron and John Falconer managed the floor and kept it warm until the sun began to rise, Miss Della Del gaty delighted the crowd with both vocal and instrumental music. At the closing of the banquet Me. Cameron extended a vote of thanks to the hoot, and Mr. Falconer to the ladies. After singing "Auld Laug Syne" and "He's a jolly good fellow" they all departed to their homes wishing for many more such social evenings.
