Miss Pearl Wurtz has returned
home from an extended visit to Guelph
Berlin and Toronto.
Mrs. H. Rupp was called to Detroit
Mich., on Monday owing to the serious
illness of her son Mr. Henry Rnpp.
Mr. Walter Steele has purchased 75
acres of land from Mr. Sol. Martin on,
the Babylon line, and gets possession'
next Spring.
Mr. Wm. Klopp has rented the dwell-
ing occupied by Mrs. Eliza Truernner,
who intends to spend the winter with
relatives in Detroit.
Dr. S. H. McDonald, Dentist, will
be at the Dominion Hotel, Zurich. on
Monday Nov, l6th. If in need of any
work in his line give him a call.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Druar, of St.
Clemens, Ont., visited at the home of
the latter'sparents.Mr. and Mrs. F.
Krauskopf, Goshen Line South, for a
few days this week.

Rev. Chris Schultz and wife, of
North Easthope, visited relatives in

the National Anthem, after which'
routine business was transacted.

roll call was introduced, each member
responding with some fancy receipe.

Lords Prayer. After the meeting
a committee was appointed. to look
after the collection of the Rod Cross
fund which will be started here in a
few days.

E JUSTUS ME'=LICK
There passed away at his home on
Monday, Nov. 9th, a highly respected
resident in the person of Justus Melick
at the age of 71 years and 28 days,
after an illness of about • two years.
He moved to Zurich from the farm
on the Bronson. Line many years ago
and won the deep respect and esteem
of all who knew him. For two years
he had beer in failing health and for
ibe last year was practically helpless
but he bore his sufferings with Chris-
tian fortitude. Besides his sorrowing
wife, he leaves to mourn his loss two
sons, Alfred of Bronson Line, and
John, of Edmonton, Alta., and three
daughters, Mrs. S. Merner, a€ Hensall
Mrs. J. Wurtz, of Pigeon, Mieh., and
Mrs. I, Hudson, of this place. The
funeral which took place on 'Wednes-
day to the Bronson Cemetery was
largely attended, The wife and rel-
atives have the sympathy of the com-
munity in their bereavement.

Sreenan, a daughter.
