ARE YOU VERY BUSY i
Every little while you read in the papers
that so many persons have died from Con.
sumption.
It is all very Car -of' and matter of fact
and possibly it scarcely arrests your atten-
tion.
i)o you ear realize that each one of
those "cases''•—mere items in an official
record—is a t,.,;oek tragedy to somebody,
that behind each one of them lies long,
hopeless days of pain, feverish nights of
despair, lifetime plans that must be laid
away, grinding poverty, perhaps a wife to
tight her own way afterwards or children
who know hunger now that the father is
gone.
Just suppose it were your tragedy.
Suppose it were your father, your mother,
your brother, sister, husband, wife, your
child, or perhaps your sweetheart, and you
with the hospital doors shut iv your face,
wringing your hands in utter helplessness
while the crowds hurry by, engrossed in
their own affairs.
But not You are in that crowd and too
don't hear either because you are busy.
But wouldn't you give—and gladly—if
you knew that what meant so little to you
would go far to bring back the glow to
somebody's wan face or the laughter to
somebody's lips a

love best in the world. Then say "If she

argain.-Hunters
In this community are hundreds of in-
dividuals -and families on the watch
for an advertisment which will offer
them what they want at an advantag-
eous price.
Call them bargain hunters if you will, but there
is nothing wrong in waiting for a bargain, es-
pecially when the seller is anxious to sell at a
reduced price.
One family wants a new carpet—the need is not
urgent, Another family is looking forward to
buyiug a set of dining -room furniture — it may
not be for a twelve month.
One man is thinking of buying himself a watch.
One woman a shoping bag; another an umbrella.
All can be made to buy earlier -by advertising
A Note to Merchants.
Stimulate business by the offer of some slowly mova
ing lines at special prices. Brighten up business by
advertisins some desirable goods at reduced prices.
Make advertising banish dull business. Often you
can temyt the buyer, who is biding his or her time, to
buy from you—at a time of your naming.
