IN MEMORIAN
In loving memory of Milton Weber
who died Nov. 2nd, 1912.
Death has been here, and borneaway,
A brother from from our side;
Just in the morning of his day,
As young as we, he died.
Not long ago, he filled his plaee,
And sat with us to learn;
But he has run his mortal race.
And never can return.

Act to be a failure wherever it has
been tried, and it has .been tried in`
various sections of the Dominion of
Canada for oyer thirty years. rr
Locat Option and the Scott are
prohibition under different ' names.

prohibition to Huron County by
means of the Scott Act.

It would benumb the normal sense
and lead to evasson, subterfuge, hy-
pocrisy and lying. Its blighting of
feet on the material prosperity of the
County would be strongly marked;
It would cut off the from the County
the revenue cleriven from the liquor
businsss without lessening the evils
of intemperance.
It would largely increase the public
expense in a vain effort to enfore the
law. It would add seriou]y to the
burden of taxation. It would
depreciate the value of real

would be destructive of moral welfare
and prosperity.
Believing t1iat license of the liquor
traffic, with proper regulation and
control by the Government is better
for the moral and economic interests
of Huron County than attempted pro-
hibition, we respectfully request all
citizens of the County who feel as we
do, to take a dedided stand against,
and join with us in defeating the
