ADDRESS AND PRESENTATION
A most pleasant and entertaining
surprise was given at the home of
Mr. Henry Trueniner, when the
neighbors assembled, and presented
him with a handsome Morris chair.
After the address and presentation,
Mr. Truemner made a suitable reply,
expressing his gratitude and regretting
the severing of his connection with
the neighborhood. Mr. Wendel
Smith in the capacity of chairman
called upon the neighbours to give im-
prompt • addresses, in which all highly
complimented him and expressed
much regret in losing such an esteem-
ed neighbor. The evening was de-
lightfully spent by all.
May 7th, 1913.
To Mr. and Mrs. Henry
`Truemner and Family.
As neighbors and intimate associates
from almost youth up, we have as-
sembled here this evening for once
more enjoying ourselves on the old
homestead. It is indeed with pro-
found regret that we have learned of
your sudden and unexpected depart-
ure from our neighborhood. Your
loving. and considerate disposition
have always been instrumental in pre-
serving the friendly and sociable
spirit of the community. You have
always lightened our burdens in time
of need, and shared your sympathies in
time of distress. Although we under-
stand that yo.lr future home will not
be so far distant, yet, your absence
from this spot will be a loss keenly
felt.
And net. as a token of worthy es-
teem and respect, we beg of you to
accept the acconmanying gift, trust-
ing that the comfort and bliss it may
bring you will be a joy and a benefit.
Wishing you with hearts of one ac-
cord, God -speed, blessings rich and
comfort abundant, long-preseved
health, and continued prosperity.

Mr. Rev. Snell, of Parkhill. Rey. Mr.
Jefferson preached from the text
"What is your life" True life is ser-
vice for Christ. Life is appaulingly
.hort, when compared with.the unen-
ding ages, when compared with God,
who is from ever lasting to ever hat-
ing. But just as the soldier is pro-
moted soonest who serves best, so
those who find the heighest life soon-
est and who serve best are promoted
soohest to life beyond. He read a
leiter, received from the deceased not
long since, in which he spoke of the
joy it gave him to meet with God's..
people in the"i;oautiful city of Ed-
monton and to serve with them.' And
so, although he went without a dies
age, without a word of good-bye thos
who loved him can be sure that •
is with his Savior. He is survived

and Mrs. Geo. Clarke of 'Crediton,
