Board of Missions, and will return to
,Canada sometime during the coming
summer.

where he expects to remain with
his uncle. Hector noted as mail
carrier between: Drysdale and Kip -
pen for the past four years.

Campaign of W. J. Bryan, now Sec-
retary of State in President Wilson's
Cabinet.
Announcement was macre by Hon.
Adam Beck that the Hydro -Electric
Commission will at ance advertise for
tenders for the construction of the
transmission line from London to
Windsor. 'The route of the line has
not been decided upon. Surveyors
havelocateci four routes between the
Grand Trunk and Pere Marquette
tracks, but the one to be chosen has
not been decided upon. The cost
of extension will be several million
dollars, and all towns along the line
including St. Thomas and Chatham
will be supplied with cheap electric
power. It was announced also that
the Commission will at once call for•
tenders for the material for the con-
struction of lines from Cannington to
Beaverton, from Berlin to Elmira
from Seaforth to Goclerich and from
Brantford to Paris. This material, it
is expected, will cost two million doll-
ars.

HolyBaptism was administrated unto
four adults. Mr. Goodwin who was
to render a solo was prevented, owing
town affection of his vocal organs, to
the disappointment of many of his
admirers, He has kindly consulted to
render a selection next Sunday even-
ing.
A large congregation enjoyed a
-most impressive service in the Evan-
gelical church on Sunday evening,
The 'pastor delivered a stiring address
taking for his subject "Why a °bris-
tian should be a, church iileini'ber "
The rules of the Evangelical Associa-
tion were read and 20 new members
joined the church. The choir under
the leadership of Mr. IV. H. Grosch
delighted the audience with two Eas-
ter anthems. The musia was most
impressively rendered with an appro-
priate reverent expression. They
sang with a fine quality of tone, true
intonation and excellent shading—

Mr. Joseph Gellinas has now
moved to the Wagner farm and is
comfortably located.
Mr. Jos Beohler has secured a
position as clerk in R. G Niohol's
store. He begins duty on Mon.
day.
Mr. J. A, Manson has secured
the service of Mr. Sol Denomy for
the summer and Mr. E. Esler that
of Thos Johnston jr. Both these
farmers are fortunate in securing
such good servants,
The congregation turned out on
Tuesday and replaced the roof of
the shed which was blown off by
the storm on Friday last.
