BUSINESS CARDS. District News EXETER Mrs. J. Charlton is visiting her mother at Parkhill Mr. and Mrs. A. McTavish have returned from visiting relatives at Kincardine. Mr. and' Mrs Elder Elliott of Win- nipeg are visiting the former's parents Mr. and Mrs. Thos Elliott. Rev. C. Baker, Mrs. Baker of Woodham, Dr. L. L. Follick and Mrs. Follick of St. Marys attended the funeral of the late Mr. E. A. Follick on Monday last. Rev. W. H. Graham, of Strathroy occupied the pulpit of the main St. Methodist Church on Sunday • last preaching two excellent sermons on the educational work of the church. Rev. Mr. Graham has been invited to the Central Methodist church for the coming year. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Hartin were called to Kerwood owing ,to the illness of his brother there. Mrs. Cricker and Miss Whimster who have been visiting their sister Mrs. D. Johns returned to St. Marys last week. Mrs W. Snell visited in London a few clays last week. Installation—District Deputy Grand Master G. E. 111cTaggart of Blyth, and his installation team composed of Messrs S. Malttie, R. S. Sloan W. G. Potts; A. W. Robertson and H. A. Thomas installed the officers of Exeter I. 0. 0. F. lodge on Tuesday evening. After the installation all repaired to W. J. Collins rector of Triyitt church, The bride and groom left on the evening train for an extended trip to Stratford, St Thomas and other places and will return to town before leaving for their new home in New Battleford where they will be at home to their friends _the beginning of April. The deemsed had not been well for some tim the breaking up of a 'rugged constitu tion being the cause of her death. On Saturday, January 25th ther passed away at his home here, 14Ir. H had reached the age o£-77 years, 117r Follick was of a cheerful . disposition, happy in his walk in life, spending the last years of his life in compari- tiye ease and comfort. He was a mem- ber of the Main St. Methodist church and was always in attendance at the services when his health would per- mit. His remains were interred in the Exeter cemetery, on Monday last, There remains to mourn the loss of a loving father and husband, his wife and two daughters, Mrs. (Rev.) Baker of Woodham, Miss Mabel at home, Dr E of Grand Forks B.C. and Mrs. E A of Exeter. y s. 1.5 e e t s• y e After a long illness from Bright's disease, Mrs John Hawkins of Lon- don Road, North passed away at her late residence on Sunday morning, Mrs. Hawkins had been a constant sufferer for some time past, and bore all her sufferings with ehristian forti- bade, which characterized her life. Amos of the Bend, whc is well known to our readers has sold,; out his general store' to Messrs Raven and Ross, who take possession on Feb. 1st. Mr. Amos intends moving back on his farm in west McGillvray. Probably one of the most interest- ing sights in our village is to see Mrs - Snider incubator, when it is full of newly hatched chicks. Last year Mrs. Snider incubrted over 2000 chicks, and has six orders for this spring and hopes to hatch near 3000 this year. On Tuesday evening the Y. P. A. of the Evangelical church entertained the Zurich Y. P. A. A splendid pro gramme was given by the Dashwood young people, and supper was after -- words served in Kellermans block. About forty . young people came over,' and an enjoyable evening was sl by all. ' .. • Miss E. Guenther spent last week with friends and relatives in Zurich. IN MEMORIAN Bassow—Ill loving memory of Frank Nelson Baesow, who died one year ago to -day, January 31st, 1913. One year has passed, our hearts still sore: As time goes on we miss him more, His loving father, mother, brother and sisters, After delivering three carload of young cattle on his fifteen hundred acre farm near Calgary, Mr. Fred Davis returned to Goderich on New Year's day. Last wsek he started back again with 309 more head, tak- in a special train of 15 cars direct from Goderich. Besides his own cat– tle he is wintering nearly 800 far. the C. P. R. Co.
