Quite a number hero attened the
excursion to Goderich, on Monday,
which was run under the auspices of
the Evangelical Sunday school of
Crediton. Goderich is an ideal place
for an outing and should Crediton
decide to make this trip an annual
affair there is no doubt that they will
be liberally patronized.
Mr. Solilartin Sr., was injured on
Tuesday afternoon, while on theroad
hauling gravel. He was driving to
the pit, when his son's team clashed
into the rear of his wagon and in some
inanner one horse got right into the
wagon and struck Mr. Martin on the
side of the head, inflicting a gash that
required five stitches to close. Mr.
Martin is over eigaty years old and
though losing a lot of blood it is not
expected -that any serious results will
follow.
A distressing fatal accident happen-
ed on Tuesday atthe farm of k[r, T.
Robinson. Goshen Line Stanley, re -
silting in the almost instant death of
Mr. Robinson's nephew. Edgar
\'array Erratt, at the age of 5 years;
G months and 26 days, only child of
Mrs. Samuel Erratt, whose husband
died Abut three years ago. The
little fellow climbed on a disc harrow
while J\Ir. Robinson was picking up
some stones, and before the team
could be reached, they made a start
and the boy was thrown sunder the
disc, cutting hini so badly .that he
bled to death in a few minutes.. I•t.is,
a terrible shocli to the mother and • '
other relatives, who have the sincerest
sympathy in their sudden bereave-
