What might have proved • a most
serious accident happened to Mr. J.
Brenneron Friday morning while in
the act of scraping the snow off his
shoes on a scraper. His feet slipped
on the icy steps causing him to fall
on his back, but very luckily he escap-
ed with a severe shaking up.
Wilbert Dewey left .. for Munro,
Mich., on Tuesday last.
The fisherman may be seen any
day now standing on the river bank
looking for ice. They must have
smelt it coming for Sy and Bill were
seen wending their way; down to the
ice house at the beach on Monday to
make preparation for ice cutting.
We are glad to hoar that Mr. Gord-
on Turnball, son of Thos. Turnball,
sr., is improving nicely after under-
going a very severe operation at Bt.

the Junior and Senior Bible Classes
'of the Sunday School of the Method-
ist church, the losers, the Junior Bib-
