JOU; Mitchell's Life
; ,as Save ,by Morrisey s ;•

Woodstod ,::N.I3., Aug. 1Q, 1910.
t had a very severe case of"stomaciz,
tE4 ble'width caused me great pain, and n.
lot f distress..I tried severaldoctors, but
could get no relief, I also tried about all
!le patent medicines that are.recomcnend-;
d for stomach trouble, ;and still .I' WAS.
getting 'worse --in fact, I felt like dying,
andhad to stop work. My friends thought
my days onearth were few, and I thought
so myself. I had heard a great deal about
the wonderful skill of Father Morriscy, •and
thought ,I would go and see him. Be+
prescribed his No. 11 Dyspepsia Cure for
me, and I took his medicine as he directed,
and soon began to feel relieved, anicto-
day I am a very well man; have gained in
flesh — have no pain in my stomach, and
am feeling first-rate. There is no doubt
but that he saved my life, and I only wish
I could find words to express my gratitude
I hope all who suffer as I did will use his
marvelous No. 11 Stomach Remedy."
John H. Mitchell.
The above prescription is not a "Cur"e-
:111" or so-called patent medicine. Dr. Mor-
isey prescribed it for 44 years, and it
lured thousands after other -doctors failed

Dr. F. H. Barnes, in the Medical
Record (Aug 19, 1911) takes the
ground that alcoholism is not a dis
ease "No victim of alcoholism,'.'
he says, "has been cured unless he
was willing to be cured and moral-
ly strong enough to stay cured.
Medicine is quite incapable of fur-
nishing him those essentials. The
task of the medical men is to
arouse the alcoholic from his let-
hargy, not with medicine, but by
inculcating moral force and will
power. Medicine can only benefit-
