The Autograph quilt was complet-
ed this year, and the sum of $81.95,
was realized from the names on the
blocks. At the tea held in the Coun-
cil Chamber in March to entertain the
new Members we quilted the quilt.
During the afternoon all enjoyed a
sociable cup of tea,
This Spring the Churches in town
set apart one Sabbath as "Hospital
Sunday'and distributed envelopes in
the Churches for the donations. The
response was most generous.

A Good Road Builder .
The road between "W‘hitechtirch and
Wingham "is now completed and. is
one of the best stretches of roads in
this part of the province. Mr, J. G.
Gillespie who had charge of the job
is to be congi-atalated on the work.
He has moved. his outfit to the West
of Whitechureli and. has commenced
work between Whitechurch and Luck -
,now. A few years ago the road from
Wirigham to Lticknow was one of the
worst • in ,these parts, but when Mr.
Gillespie finishes his .wOrk we, think
it can truthfully be classed as one of
the best. ,
St. Andrew's Anniversair

that taxed the seating capacity of the

year, of the church's history,, duriug
which time Rev. D. Perrie has been
the esteemed Minister for 29 yea.ra.
A congregational meeting will be
held on VVedhcsda,y evening of this

Track On Fire
While taking a load. of flour to Ex-
eter on Monday morning, Mr. Lewis
Groliofsky came nearly having a
serious accident. He 'noticed a lady
meeting him keep pointing at his
truck and. when he stopped. to find
out what was the matter, found the
lower part of the truck on fire and
the blaze eating its way around the
gasoline tank. Needless to say Lewis
was a busy .man for a time at least.
It is supposed that a rag on the ex-
haust pipe became ignite.d.
