The object of the Society is to as- sist the Winghana General Hospital in every possible way. This 'Society supplies the hospital with bedding, in - chiding (sheeting, blankets, spreads, quilts and pillows) towelling, dishes and numerous other things necessary to the upkeep of the Hos- pitallh The meetings of the Auxiliary are held on the first Monday of the month hi the Council Chamber at 3.45 o'clock. Ladies are cordially in- vited to attend. The Auxiliary has just closed .the most prosperous year in the history of the Society. There were eleven meetings held during the year, and a membership of seventy-three, an in- crease of fifty-five over last year. The Autograph quilt was complet- ed this year, and the sum of $81.95, was realized from the names on the blocks. At the tea held in the Coun- cil Chamber in March to entertain the new Members we quilted the quilt. During the afternoon all enjoyed a sociable cup of tea, This Spring the Churches in town set apart one Sabbath as "Hospital Sunday'and distributed envelopes in the Churches for the donations. The response was most generous. The Ladies Auxiliary wish to thank the Churches for their liberal contri- butions, also the Lion's Club, the Eastern Star, the various, Women's Institutes and all who sent donations to the Auxiliary or to the Hospital, The election of officers was as fol- lows.
