past years has been in the repairing
department of the Central Garage,
and who was recentlymarried has
bought the Irwin livery barn at Rip-
ley and is starting a garage and chop-

rapidly becoming the leading cream-.
ery of this district, the output of but-
ter last week being close to one ton
per day, and a couple of days being
considerably over a ton.• This coup-
led with the fact that they have only
been churning a month is considered
a remarkable showing, They also
handled large quantities of ice cream,
eggs, and poultry.
Mr. W. J. Davison has returned
from Toronto where he was attending
a convention of the Ontario Embalm-
ers. He• was accompanied to the
city by his sister, Miss Mae, and
Miss Mary Aitchison, who spent a
week with friends and relatives there,
also taking in the Ex.
Miss Belle Murchison of Silver -
wood's office staff, spent. Sunday at
her home near Wingham.
Mr. and Mrs. Westover of Alytner;
visited' for a few days with Mr. and
Mrs. Jno. Steele of town.
Mrs. Jas. Clarkson has gone to
spend the winter with her daughters
in Windsor and Detroit.
School re -opened last week with a
large attendance with Miss McLean
as Principal assisted by Mr. Malcolm
Armstrong, Miss Gertrude Fowler,
Miss McDonald, Miss Thompson,
Miss McCallum and Miss Murdie.

at Grimsby.
Mr. and Mrs . -David Walker return-
ed to their home at Niagara, aftera
three weeks visit with; Mrs. Walker's
mother, Mrs. Jno. Gibson.
The infant daughter of 1VIr. and
Mrs, John Snell, passed away on Sun-
day. The funeral took place Monday
afternoon, to the Wroxeter cemetery.

Ritchie, motored to. Niagara on Tues-
day returning on Thursday,

Hupfer are visiting friends in Essex.
