A machine called the pallopboto-
phone has now been perfected which
takes motion pictures of;, the , human
voice on a strip of film similarto that
used in the movies, When this film
is run through the proper machine; the

' cured from the phonograph.' Master
Coogan appeared before this machine,
a few weeks ago when he was visiting
in the East, and on Friday evening

Uy. Radio each week. Last week both
speech and music were clearly heard
in New Zealandfrom the station of a
Technical School at Troy, New York
State. This is a record for transmis-
sion as the distance . covered was
