Mr. A. M. Crawford has added
greatly to the appearance of his al-
ready splendid garage by the planting
of about forty barberry thumberg
shrtibs, which when green will make a
beautiful hedge on the north side of
the bailding and around by the drives.
Tf everyone would take as much pride
in the appearance of their property as
Mr. Crawford it would add greatly to
the appearance. of the,town.

A Dog's Devotion
Touching testimony of the devotion
of a dog is afforded paSsers-by on the
road -east. of Elmira as they go by the
little Mennonite cemetery. Near a
grave only a month old may be seen' a
lonely collie dog keeping faithful vigil
over the berial spot of his former mis-
tress. The dog eaamot be coaxed. Or
driven from the grave, and though he
leaves it at intervals for his meals he
does riot fail in return to keep his'
lone watch.-Paltherston Spectator.
