Overcrowding At Wingham School
Public School Inspectot' Dr. Field,
met with the trustees ofWingham
Public School recently and discussed
ways and means thin some way com-
bat with the overcrowded condition of
the sehool. In a couple Of the lower
rooms, the kindergarten, the primer
and second hook there are about fifty
pupils in each, and with this over-
crowding it was thought best to do
away with. the kindergarten. How-
ever, after going carefully into' the
matter with the inSpector, there may
be arraugements Made to have these
classes taught in another building for
the present. Dr. Field suggested that
an addition could be budt to the
school without interfering with the
lightift, Steps will be taken to make
some necessary change during the
midsummer holidays when another
teacher will be engaged,
Rev, H. W. Snell, B. A. and Mr. A.
It Walker, will be representatives of
the Wingbam Public School Board at
tlte Onlanio tdttea.tional Association's
noweention at Toronto, Easter Week,
Four new blackboards have been or-
dered. for the public sehool to replace
