The deceased was born near Portadown county Armagh, Ireland. where he joined the. Orange Order No, 20, at the age of eighteen' years. When a young man of nineteen years he':came to.Halton county ,where he re - skied for seven year, ' He was then unit- ed in marriage to Susan Patteisori of Nel- son Township. They came to, Morris when the country was all bush and hewed out for himself the home in which he re- sided until the, time of his death at the ripe old age of 87 years, 3 months and 14 days. The deceased was a;:higniy :d teem- ed old gentleman, in politics he . was a staunch Conservative His wife prede- ceased. him 16 years ago. He leaves to mourn eight children living. John W of Saskatoon, predeceased: him two years ago. George of Bluevale, Thomas, Jane, Annie and Mali e. at home,: and Nerdy on the adjoining farm; Mrs H C. Owens and Rebecca of Welwyn, Sask„ also' one ‘..brother, Thomas, who resides on the old home near Portadown, Armagh, Ireland. One sister, Mrs. Sinks of Glasgow,: who. predeceased him many years ago. There are also thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 'rhe funeral services were conducted at Ms home by Rev. Mr. Wilson. The pallbearers were: his three sons, one grat,dson, one nephew and one cousin,, George of Bluevale, Thos, and Henry at home Earl Mat ers, Joseph Robb of Stratford and Wi liam Sheriff of Wing - hand. TWo beautiful wreaths of flowers were placed on bis casket, one from the family at home and the other from lits son -in• law and two daughters of Welwyn, Sask.
