"The Ebenezer (Browntown) Sun-
day School, will hold their annual
Christmas entertainment on December
22nd, 1926. A .splendid programme
consisting of dialogues, drills, vocal
and orchestra music is being prepared.
In addition, as a very special feature '.
of the programme, the young people
will present a most hur`norous two
aei,,play, entitled "Miss Molly." Ad-
mission 25 and x5 cents.
Young. People's League
The Young People's League of the
United church,. inet on Monday even-
ing in the Sunday school room with
about 6o present. J. McMichael pre-
sided over the meeting. The meet-
ing opened with the singing of a
hymn followed by prayer. The Scrip-
ture lesson was read by Theo. Robin-
son, devotional by ,E. Bennett. The
topic for the evening was "Should
Missionary Money be spent in Edo-
eatonal' Work" being taken' by E.
Copeland, and was • very interesting.
An instrumental wa`S given by M.
Christie, and a solo by Miss Gcrtende
MacDonald.
Protest in South Bruce
The Conservative ,' Association of
South Bruce, met in Teeswater on
Friday afternoon and decided to file
a protest against the election of Mr.
A. McCallum, the member elect, A

been reported to the executive, and
inaddition to these, it 'has been prov-
en that the Liberal candidate, Mr. 3.
G. Anderson ,was paid $1250 to with-
draw from the fight, Mr, ;McCallum
