MARRIED IN 'TEES•WATER

A pretty house wedding took.place
on Tuesday afternoon at the home
of the bride's parents, when Mr. Cal-
vin Cerson, youngest son of Mrs. Cer-
on and the late Thomas Cerson, wwas
united in marriage to Josie Cathar-
ine, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs:
Charles Dickson, Culross, The wedd-
ing march was played by'; Miss Glad-
ys McDonald, rhe bridd wore white
satin and georgette with silver slipp-
ers and bandeau of orange blossoms,
and carrying a bouquet of white
asters and maidenhair fern, She en-
tered the room on the arra of her fa-
ther and proceeded to the arch, dec-
orated with flowers and evergreens,
in the centre of which hung a white
bell, She was attended by Miss Ed-
ith ,Smith, the cousin, who was dress-
ed in mauve georgette, trimmed with
pearl beads and silver lace. The
groomsman was John Mighton. After
the ceremony, which was performed
by Rev. Dr. Forbes, of Teeswater,
the guests, numbering about 25, sat
down to a wedding dinner, the bride's
table being centred with a large wedd-
ing cake. In the cetera/1g a reception
was held at the residence, where over
20o wrests were invited, the evening
being pleasantly spent in games and
dancing. The bride: and groom were
the recipients of many beautiful gifts,
among which were two wicker chairs,
a table and a rug from the employees
of the lime plant ,and a walnut' table
from the friend; on concession' 8. east.'
After a motor trip to London, Wind-
sor; Hamilton, and other points,
they will reside in Teeswater, The
bride's travelling suit was of navy
blue, with hat to match, and black
plush coat.
THE LATE ANDREW LONGLEY
After an ilness extending over a
period of six weeks, Mr, Andrew
Longley died at his late home early
on the morning of September 17.
Mr. Andrew Longley was born in
Henfield, Sussex, England, in the year
1831 ,and therefore in his 96th. year,
having lived in five reigns, Heem-
igrated to Canada in 1862, purchasing
a farm in Huron County, near Wr.'x
eter, where he has resided ever since.
Predeceased by his wife, some twen-
ty-one years ago, he is survived by,
his six children, Mrs. Darling and Mrs

well past the allotted score when she
passed away. Only in March of this
year, one of h:s sisters died ie. En-
gland at the age of 99, just eighteen
monihe short of the century nark;
ten weeks later he mourned the. loss of
a brother in his 87th year, while five
years ago two other members of the
family of eleven died at 92 and 83 yrs.

s')uing his whole life, the late Mr.
Longley was an ardent Sunday school
worker, having a class of boys when
only eleven years of age. For ,many
years Mr. Longley was an active'.
member of the cid Congregational
Church, then located at Gemmill's cor-
ners near Wroxeter ,and a teacher
at the Sunday school, while for about
ten years subsequent to that he was
Superintendent of the Sunday school,
then held at Section School No 13,
Howick and Tunberry.
The late Mr. Longley was a great
lover of music, playing the piano well,
and spent much of his time in the
reading and study of French and Lat-
in.
