Chief speaker of the afternoon was
Hon. Hugh Guthrie, minister of nat-

closing events of the Ottawa session
and gave'some outstanding features
of the customs inquiry. Very fortun-

lengthy nomination proceedings, the
minister spoke -at the' opening, and
then left for Ottawa, to attend a Ca-

Peter W. Scott, of Belgrave, presit-

chair, and in answer to an inquiry in-

to call the annual meeting right after

Hon. Mr. Guthrie alluded to the
guilty persons in the' customs sean-

collection of crooks that has ever op-

said that J, E. Bisaillion, head of the

$3,000 as Government employee, but
was now fabullously rich. Referring'
to the short circuiting of liquor ship-
