A lar- ge number of fans' turned out and they were rewarded with a good exhibition of the "old, game." Both teams were better than usual and showed much improvement' due to constant practice, Gorrie took the lead early in. the.. ,. ;game and continued to hold it, A few costly errors in the fifth innings, however nearly threw the game away. But the team settled down again in the sixth and the two teams struggled till the finish. A. dispute during the•first half' of the eighth innings delayed, the game till it, was too dark to continue. So the umpire called the game , finished at the end of the seventh. The scoe at this time stood ro-e in favour of OGorrie. s FORDWICH Mr. and Mrs.. R. C.
