visited Arnold Edgar's last week.
A number of the young people of
the United Church went to Gorrie last
Friday night and spent a social even-
ing with the young people of the Un-
ited Crurch there,
Barbara Muline, better known by
the name of Miss Roy passed away
Monday night. Site had Iived :a se-
cluded life, living alone most of the
time up to a few 'yearsago, when it
was found necessary to have someone
look after her. Owing to her eccen-
tric ways she had enstranged herself
from her people, ,who were very re-
spectable. She preferred to live on a
small income which was not enough
to keep her decently fed and clothed.
The last three years• Mrs. Jennie Jack
has faithfully tended her, giving her
many comforts which she denied her-
self during her earlier life.

ken by Mrs. Michie and Mrs, Chas.

di'es present,. Solo by Mrs, Jas. An-
derson, Mrs, (Rev.) Scobie gave .,a
splendid report of the inaugural meet-
ing in Clinton, which was enjoyed by
all. A ''very pleasing feature of the
afternoon was the presentation of two
life members certificates to Mrs. A;
Procter and Mrs, Chas, Cambell. The
address was read by Mrs. Jas. Ander-
son and the certificates presene/ed by MI
Mrs, Chas. Wilkinson and Mrs. R. E,
McKenzie. The meeting closed with
hymn 94 and prayer by lvlrs. Michie.
Lunch was served and a social half
hour spent,
The Play, "Deacon Dubbs," will be
presented by the Young. People of S.
S. No. 5, Morris, in the C. O. F. Hall,
Belgrave, Friday Everting, May 28th.,
at 8 o'click. Musical program be-
tween acts. Admission 35c and 25c.
