Little Girl Hurt By Auto
Last " Thursday afternoon, Agnes,
the little six year old daughter of Mr.
I. S. Durst, was struck by an auto,
while crossing the street ' at Hemp -
hill's Oatmeal Mill. A carwas park-
ed on the road side and the bus was
atheti the
going past it to station, the little
girl waited on the sidewalk and wat-
ched the bus pass, then hurried to
cross, ,theroad, not being able to see
a car coming the other way and the
driver not being able to see her, she
was knocked down and badly bruis-
ed and cut about the arms, hand and
face,; but fortunately no bones were
broken. She was hurried home and
the Doctor called, who dressed the
wounds. It was feared she might be
hurt internally but we are pleased to
know she is_able to run about again..
She had a narrow escape from being
killed, it was one of the unfortunate
accidents . with no one to blame, as
the driver of the car could not see the
child coming" or the child see the car.
