Mrs. King was born in Culross
Township, 57 years ago and was a
daughter of tho late F. •H. and Mrs,
°Schoales. When about three years -of
age, she, with her widowed mother
and family xnoved to livillett and set-
tled on a farm -adjoining the village
of Kiriburn, where Mrs, ICing, spent
her girlhoOrl days. In the year of
'xSee, she ,was married to J, W. King
and with her husband Moved to 13lue,
vale; where she has resided until the
time of her demise. 0
Hers was a life well lived, full\ of
kindly sleeds and helpfulness. • She
Was assiduously industrious but found
tiine to take part in all church and sci:-
cial wbrk, She was possessed of a
courage tiuda.tinted and a kindriess wi-
de in its range, ever ready to lend a
helping ha,nd to those in distress. Her
bereaved husband, sisters and broth:
ei%have suffered an irreparable loss in
the passing Of Mrs. King.
She wns a member of Knox United
Church, I3luevale and has now passed
on to the :Eleavertly thurch, triam-
pliant, where sorrow and sighing aie

The Late Mrs. Turvey '
There passed to her reward on Sat-
urday April 24, one of the oldest and
most highly esteemed residents of
Morris, Tuesday, in the person of
Mrs. Geo. W. Turvey. Mrs. Turvey's • ,•
a maiden name was Margaret Ann.

born in Scotland in 1850 and came to ' •

Township, where she has been a resi-
dent for about seirenty years. Mrs. .
Turvey was one of those fortunate in-
dividuals whom nature had blessed
with a lovable disposition, which made '
friends wherever she 'went and she
will long be missed in the community
where she has lived continually shine
her niarriage to her now bereft hus-
band 53 years ago. But no place will
she be missed as inside her own faitni-'
ly circle where she was perfection it-
self, She leaves to mourn her death
besides a sorrowing husband, two sons
and onei daughter, William of Saska-
toon, Robert on the homestead and

Paulina Ionia Wright, beloved wife
of Mr. Wm. j. Finlay, Pleasant Vall-
ey, passed away in Wingham Hospi-
tal on Saturday, May 8th., where slie
had undergone a critical operation
some days previous. Deceased was a'
most highly esteemed lady and was
in her 4.0111 year. Besides her lesband
she is survived by two childreo, Char-
lie and Minerva, also het aged father.
To these serrowing, relatives is ex-
tended the sympathy of a large circle
of friends. Interment was made in
the Wroxeter Cemetery on ivfonday
afternoon.
Mist Floody's Father Passes
The death occurred early Sunday
morning of Matthew Moody, retired
pioneer • Itimberman • Of Haileybufry,
and brother of Edward Floody, of
the Canadian Preventive Servite, Mr.
Floody, who was 63' years of age, had
come tts Toronto to undergo a surgi-
cal operation last week. but was sud-
denly stricken,' and died almost im-
mediately. • I3'orn in Cartwright Town-
ship, Durham County, the late Mr.
Bloody lived for it time in Huron
Comity, and in 187o, before the rail-
way. was 1Dullt, Moved to Halleybury,
wherehe was engaged ili the lumber
besitieSs. Since the big fire he has
beetx living retired. He is survived by
his ividow, formerly Miss 011ie Croc-
ker, of 'Exeter; one daughter, 'Miss Li-
ly, mathematical teacher in the Wing -
