Mrs. Isaiah Moore is Dead •

March 4th., one of the highly esteem-
ed pioneer residents .of Kinloss town-
iship in the person osIoEliza jane Stit-
lin her 87th year. The deceased lady's art, widow of the late Isaiah Moore,
(parents, James Stuart and Jane Bea-
com, immigrated front Ireland and
settled, in Goderich township,. where
the subject of this skntch was born
and spent her early life in Goderich
and Colborne townships. In 186o she
was married to Mr. Moore and spent
ten years itt Goderich township 'and
moved to Wingham 11 5870 where
Mr.' Moore tOok a position as head
sawyer in'the Wingham saw mill. Af-
ter a few years here they moved to
Rinloss where Mr, Moore, was head
Sawyer in Gatuat's saw mill and here
My. Moore had a very unfortunate at-
ciden itt ate loss of one of his heeds,
With cotrage of the pioneers, IVIr,
and Mrs.Moare then took up the
north half of lot 15 on the 1st con-
cession of'Kinloss when it was all bn-
sh. This land was conVerted into a
gobd farm and afterwards lot /6 was
purchased arid here Mr. • and Mrs,
'Moore resided until the time of their
death, Mr. Moore passing away nine
years ago, •Mrs. Moore was a wo-
man who was held in very high es-
teem in the community in which she
had so long resided. !There was a fa-
