Removing To St. Marys
Mr. W. J. Ilenning who has been
in the tailoring business here for sev-
eral years
ev-eral,.years is leaving the coining week
for St. Marys, where he is, opening a
merchant tailor shop. As Walkerton
boasts of five tailor shops, while St.
Marys, a larger town, has two, at
reasonable method open to him to l seems only fair that we share up with
keep himself and his business before the Stone Town, ' but for personal rea-
the buying and patronizing public. Ad-
vertising is a medium that offers,; the
quickest%:route to success and failure
to use it cgnsigns the whole proposi-
tion to an` early failure.' If the public
is misinformed or uninformed: about a
great deal that is offered for sale, the
reason largely may be discovered in
the lack' of proper and sustained ad-
vertising. Success is not some mys-
terious element that chances to drop
in here or there to enrich this or that
person, It is a problem that has
been solved, and yeti will find nine
rases lilt off tete advertising has hem
the stepping stone.—"St, 'Marys Soar -

friends are sorry to , see them go. St

i tit in Sl, Marys the home of Champ-
ion lacrosse, should be a real asset.
Mr. I-leasiing has played with Durham
X-lanover and Winghain, when those'
teams were at their best and has fre-
quently erossed sticks with Sltiey
Stewart, Cowan and Lavelle of St.

A Busy Little. Hen
Mrs. Andrew Good, of ` Greenock,
has a Plymouth Rock hen that laid
fifty-one eggs, and on which produc-

A Clergyman's Dilemma
A clergyman, introducing some new
hymn books, gave the clerk a notice
after the sermon. The clerk had one
of his own to give with reference to
baptism of infants. He announced:
"All those who have children they
wish baptised, please -send in their
names at once." The clergyman, who
was deaf, assuming that the clerk was
giving his notice, arose . and said:
"And I want to say for the benefit of
those who haven't any, that they may-
be obtained from me any day, be-
tween and 4 o'clock, the ones with
the red, backs at twenty-five cents and
anal the ordinary little ones at fifteen I
cents.",
