Robert Musgrove had the misfor- tune to crit a gash in his foot with an axe on Tuesdaywhile cutting wood. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coultess of Listowel were visitors here last week. Robert Yeo who has been missing from his home since last Saturday, was located at Goderich on Tuesday and bi.ought back home. He makes his borne with his brother George, and last Saturday disappeared and considerable anxiety was caused for searching parties who had been un- able to locate him. Per Olsson, who has been with A. McEwen the last year, left for Foss - mill, New Ontario, where he has se- cured employment with a lumber company. Sam Burke, first line Morris, had the misfortune to have his barn de- stroyed by fire on Thursday after- noon, from unknown causes. Mitchell received the sad news of his brother, Frank's, death which occurred last week in Winni- peg. Frank was well and favorably known in these parts, having lived here for a number of years, He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and adult family, a brother, Robert, in Wingham, and W. J., of Howick, who have the sympathy of this coin- munity. 5. J. Weir, a former Howick boy, who has been Assistant Manager for the Imperial Oil in Toronto for some time, is leaving this week for Pitts- burg to take a position as Manager for the Standard Oil in that city. Jack has many friends around Salem, it being the home of his childhood. We are always glad to hear of our boys making good.
