SKIES
Now that your summer holidays
;are close at hand you are no doubt
anticipating at least two weeks of
leisure, somewhere in the Muskoka
district where the warm lazy waters
refresh one. Just the place to re-
plenish flagging energies—a veritable
Paradise for the vacationist.. ,Bath-
ing, canoeing, sail and motor boat-
ing, while steamer trips 'trough beau-
tiful lakes clustered with miniature
islands are both novel and invigorat-
ing. Tennis, lawn bowling and golf-
ing most everywhere. Dancing, o
course, in the cool of the evening,
for those who choose.
The line of the Canadian Pacific
to Bala gives very convenient service
then a short boat ride brings you to
any of the numerous comfortable ho-
tels in this summer playground.
Any Canadian Pacific Agent will
gladly furnish literature on the var-
ious resorts and hotels in Muskoka
on request.

Physically we _might learn a grea
deal from the cat. Just watch a cat
wake up and then, stretchy and grad -
wally get into motion. Stretching is
one' of the best exercises and in tak-
ing exercises we shotild remember
the stretching ones, Look at the way
.a cat sleeps, absolute relaxation.
Some people seem to feel 'when they
go to bed that their chief work is
to lie tense and hold down the bed,
instead .of relaxing and gaining per
fect repose. There is quality in
sleep as well as quantity. •Sometimes
we wake from a cat -nap more refresh-
ed than we do other times from a
night's sleep. Emulate the .cat and
learn: to relax in your sleep.
Sour Milk . Cookery.
Every household has an occasional
accumulation of sour milk and cream..
This need not be watsed as there are
so many uses for it: Our grandmoth-
ers' cook -books are filled with sour -
milk recipes. Improved refrigeration
and better handling of milk all along
the line makes less sour milk. Flow -
ever there is frequently some to rise
up.
There was a great fad for a while

Flour Mixtures.
Sour milk or cream may be used
inmany flour mixtures. It is better
than sweet milk for those containing
spices. Molasses or chocolate,
You may use your favorite recipes
and substitute sour milk for the
sweet. Instead of Baking powder
use soda in the proportion of 1 tea-
spoon to one ,cup of sour milk, . It
stands to reason that if you use sour
cream, the amount of shortening
should be proportionally lessened.

Price and Quality
Did you ever enter a store acid say "Give me the cheapest suit
of clothes you have in the house?"
You certainly did not because you realize that price is not the
only consideration and that you must demand quality for what
you buy, whether it is a house and lot or a paper of pins.
You want the best you can buy for the money, and the same
theory applies to all other lines of merchandise.... The mere fact
that you go to another city and buy .a suit for $ro.00 does not
mean that you have saved money. Your home merchant could
have given you a suit for $xo.00 that would probably be better
than the one you bought. He could probably have given you the
same suit for less money.
This means that your home, merchant wants to satisfy you and
give you your money's worth. He will not sell you something
that is not worth the money you pay for it, because he wants
your trade when you come again. the merchant in the other
city does not care. He doesn't expect to ever see you again and
will try to get all he can out of you while the getting is good.
It is not the price you pay that determines whether or not you
are getting a bargain. It is the quality of goods that you get for
your money that counts, The next time you think of buying any-
thing outside Wingham, if you ever do think of such a thing, go
first to your home merchant and ask to see the article or articles
which you are thinking of buying. It is a courtesy you owe your
community as well as your merchant and yourself, and it always
pays.

G EET'S—THE GOOD SHOE STORE
What's in a name, you say. Well, Greer's-The Good Shoe

the intervening' years has persistently carried this out. He has
an unusually :large and well -assorted stock, knows the art of and
necessity of attractive window dresaitg, and so attracts many an
interested customer. In the Store will be found a varied line of
travelling necessities, bags, boxes, suitcases and trunks.. Mr. Greer
besides giving, his business careful lattetition, found time to serve
the public. as a member of the Council; is very active the work
of the United Church, and takes a more than passing interest in
