AN EFFICIENT POST OFFICE
It for Mr. and i The; Christmas season annually inn-
indsor, in the poses a terriffic strain on all the re-
s sources of commerce and industry
m i and on those men and women who
serve the public. . There is, however,.
no department of public service so
seriously overtaxed at the Yuletide
as the Post Office Department.
' In London, for instance, the nor-
mal staff augmented by special help-
ers, is expected to handle with accur-
acy and speed a mail 20 times the av-
erage size. The letter post is jamm=
ed withChristeias cards, and the par -
!eel post is overloaded with gifts of
all sizes and descriptions going to
all parts of the world. It is very'
important that these shall be cleared
and delivered by Christmas Day. In i
many instances the public does not'
co-operate with the over-worked
