ANOTHER CHARIVARI
Again we hear those joyful sounds,
Oh, say, what can it be?
Too early yet for Xmas bells,
It's another charivau;i.
For darling Jim just stole away,
And got himself a wife,
And every prospect points that way,
They'll be happy all their life.
For he has money,.lots of it,
I think he'll give us some;
And if he don't, he knows quite well.
We lads will make things hum.
Oh, what care we for mud and snow?
We're young and full of life,
And he can have it back on us,
When we get us a Wile.
We need no moon or candle light,,
To guide us on the way,
For Alex with his sunny face,
Just made it bright as day.
An'd Gurdon with his manly frame,
He went to blow the horn,
Now forever after this
They'll look on him with -scorn.
The ':tilde -groom donned 'his cap
and. co.s t
And grabbed the olcl shot gun,
'"liedad I'll shoot them if 1. -can,
Yes, shoot them every one:"
