In the evening an open meeting was held, which was presided over by Rev. A. Forbes, pastor of Knox church,:Seaforth, the special feature of which was the very interesting address on the missionary work in; the foreign east -Formosa, Korea, Manchuria, Japan, etc., where noble amen and women such as Dr. and Mrs. Goforth, Miss Caroline McDonald and others, accomplished` so much by their patient and persevering efforts for so many years. Opportunities for service come through wide open doors in these countries; and there are many evidences of the uplift of the gospel on every hand..The singing of hymn 556 and the' Doxology brought this meeting to a close.
