LIVESTOCK MARKETING
CONTRACT
Farmers throughout Ontario 'Will be
given an -opportunity of marketing
their cattle and hogs on a, strictly co-
operative basis. The shart!igiders of
'The United Farmers Co-operative Co.
Limited, at their annual meeting, a
few weeks ago""""gave the directors au-
thority to arrange for meetings at
which to discuss the Hog Pool and
Live Stock Contract, and then to or
ganihe, if those who sell their live
stock approve of this new system of
marketing which has been adopted
with such satisfaction to the farmer in
recent years.
The Directors met December loth
to 22nd, and deckled to ask each
county to- send a representative to
confer with. the Company directors in
Toronto on January 24th. In the
short time that remains before the
conference it will be impossible to
give assistance to all counties. Arran-
gements.are being made, however, for
meetings in. Dufferin, Grey and Sim-
coe at which to discuss this 'method
of marketing, and answer questions.
