Built on a ro7-inch wheelbase, the
• .ne-w Chevrolet is four inches longer
- than before and is impressively large,

' radiator -deepened in a fashion re-
,.
• niiniscent of the LaSalle -the lines of
the car sweep back to blend into the
• graceful contours of the bodies. Sharp
corners have been entirely elhninated
and in the closed models the roof
ne • curves into the rear quarters in unique
• manner.
The new features include: massive,
•'deep and beautiful radiator, 4 --wheel
brakes, extended wheelbase, an im-
proved, engine that gives 34-6 P.c. more
power and five miles an hour more
speed, longer and roomier Fisher bo-
dies, iiew Duco color combinations,
titermostat coinrol of cooling shock
.4iisorber springs, motor enclosure and
indirectly lighted insteurnent panel."
• Seven passenger cars, including five
closed m
and two open types, coprise
the line. Every driving requirement
is caredfor in the make-up and ap-
pointments of the various body types.
The new car has a distinctive big
'car appearance entirely foreign to its
,price class. This is achieved by add -
beg four inches to the -wheelbase. The
frame also has been clepened and
as in 59e6.
ell During the pa.st few.. years, the
board has replaced the old black-
boards with new slate boards ancl dur-

• several of the body types. The Coach
•body...is five inches longer than a year

.been increased two and three-qUarter
• inches. Among the many new body
. refinements is a fully enclosed and in-

Mechanically the car has been ins-

through the body of the car, new two -

hydro -laminated cranlesitaft gears, im-

.an AC oil filter and an AC air clean-

matter, thus adding materially to the

Another item of importance in the
new Chevrolet is tlie ..ntroduction of
.dual action shocle-absorbers' semi -el-
liptic springs which run p`a.rallel to
the frame arid stretch for go inches
.along the side of the chassis. The
springs represent another innovation
,pioaeered by Chevrolet engineers.
They provide 50 per cent, bettek rid-
