ate to break his wrist while cranking
his 'car.
Mr. and Mrs. Rickard Gardner vis-
ited a day recently with relatives a-
round Westfield.
Mr. Wilfred Hogan, son of Mr. and
Mrs. M. Hogan of Watertown N. Y.,
is spending his vacation at home.

Guelph Winter Fair.
The many friends of Mrs. Odium
and, son Berval of North Bay, will

ken and other severe injuries and

Many friends of Ilrs. (D;r.) Grier-
son of Korea, have expressed sympa-

loss of their little daughter. Where
Mrs. Grierson was' home last Sum-
mer she gave a Missionary Address
to the W.M.S; of the United Church
here and dressed her children in the
native Korean dresses which had
been presented to them before com-
ing home
Mr, Milas McMillan is laid up with
an attack of erysipelas in his face.
One of the men who were working,
on the .telephone lines, is laid, up at
the home of Mr. and Mrs,'David Par-
rier with a mild attack of small -pox.
During the severe wind storm of.
last week,. Mr. Alec Cameron's wind-
mill was smashed to pieces, 1VIr. T.
H. Moore's barn' doors were blown
off and away, into the field and the
roof of Mr. Jack Johnson's barne
very nearly went off, but they .got
it ropeddown.
Mr. Jas. Emerson is laid •up ` with
a severe attack of congestion of the
lungs.
People of this community are pleas-
ed to hear of the wonderful improve-
ment of little Floyd Thompson, son +,
of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thompson, who
had a very serious operation about a
month ago and who is showing such
rapid recovery.
Quite a number from here were in
Wingham on Thursday, when Mr.
Charles Martin was incharge of the
broadcasting of a radio program. •
